What is Marinol?

While cannabis is still illegal in many places, Marinol has been approved to treat different conditions and improve the quality of life.

Is it legal though? Is it safer than regular medical marijuana or THC products?
Let’s find out.

What is Marinol?

This is branded dronabinol, which is synthetic THC. This has been prescribed to people in other places, with different names. This product has different amounts of THC that’s suspended in oils, usually sesame seed oil

How is it Used?

It’s normally used for treating two conditions.

The first is wasting syndrome that’s usually part of AIDS and HIV. This is something that affects many patients that have this, and usually, it results in a person losing 10% of their body weight.

For cannabis users, this can help to stimulate their appetite, eat more, and also help reduce rapid weight loss. Usually, this is a small amount, about 2.5 mg that’s taken twice daily.

The second condition this is normally approved for is vomiting and nausea due to chemotherapy.  Most cancer patients have this as a side effect, and this can help to reduce the vomiting and nausea that comes with this.

It’s a good way to battle this and improve appetite, and people usually take this before chemotherapy and afterwards.

Does it Get you High?

Yes.

This is because it’s similar to THC, so that means it’s got the same effects in your body that THC does. They look almost identical to THC too, with Marinol possessing the same elements, and some of them sit at different kinds of positions within this.

When you consume weed the THC passes through and binds with the CB1 receptors, which gets you high. Marinol works the same way, but the effects are much stronger compared to normal THC in certain patients.

These side effects come from the fact that many take Marinol by capsules, which means that it works like an edible, and usually the liver converts this to make it stronger.
Even though only about 20% of it goes into circulation, it can definitely make you really high.

Is this Legal?

Yes, for those conditions. It’s weird though since THC is still considered Schedule I, which means that it’s still considered a drug that can be abused.

It’s been reclassified in 1986 though as a schedule II drug, which means that it’s sued for some medical reasons, but there is still a chance that it can be abused.

It’s confusing too though because there is some legality to cannabis in many of the states these days, and some people can get it for conditions. But the thing is that it’s a lot more unpleasant than regular cannabis, and usually it does cause more severe allergic reactions.

The costs of this

This costs a lot more than cannabis does, about $734 for just a bottle of 60 capsules. While it’s expensive though, a lot of health insurances do cover this.
Medical cannabis is a lot cheaper though, and you can usually get quite a bit of flower for the same price.

Is it Safe to Use?

Marinol is not the most pleasant of drugs to use because it’s definitely something that doesn’t make you feel good.

However, this is safe to use in most instances, unless you have a history of mental illness.
The problem with Marinol however is that there are some that have seizures and other bad reactions, including allergic reactions and trouble breathing which comes from the use of Marinol, and that’s something that many should consider before they decide to use this drug to treat certain conditions.

All about marijuana cannabinoids

Marijuana cannabinoids are something that’s in he plant, but there are some who are curious about whether or not THC does more than just create the psychoactive sensations. While cannabis is good for the body, there are those that are curious about the correlation of the benefits to your body. Cannabis sativa for example is something that’s natural, filled with cannabinoids, and are great for the health and wellness of the body, and are something that definitely can have some pretty profound effects on the body. this is something that outside of the current communities that are studying this know little about, so let’s talk a little bit about what this is, and what it means to utilize marijuana cannabinoids

Truth or Legit

This is a question that we’ve asked ourselves. There are many who do tout the therapeutic results that marijuana has, especially in spiritual or religious ceremonies especially when acknowledging deities. However within the last few decades, we’ve been able to figure out the substance that works best for this, and that’s of course, cannabinoids.

Marijuana has gotten a bad rep because of the psychoactive results, and how it does negatively impact people, with many people passing judgment rather than trying it for themselves. They do believe that it was a position at one point, and it was one of the restricted substances in the US. But then, after the 1970 controlled substance act more research happened.

The misconception about this was because it became a schedule I drug, which means that it was hard for you to do research on this.  A lot of evidence from studies of animals and humans did show that the cannabinoids did have a ton of benefits. Cannabis soon became something that was a game-changer for a lot of adults who dealt with a ton of problems as well.

Now today, cannabinoids are becoming more popular than ever, with more and more agents decriminalizing any of this, and it’s something that definitely has the potential to help others as well over time.

Cannabinoids and their effects

Cannabinoids basically are something that are naturally occurring within the cannabis plant, and they offer different physical, physiological, and even cognitive results from this. There are different kinds that also are considered synthetic, phytocannabinoids, and endocannabinoids.

Phytocannabinoids are something that is plant-derived, and it’s something that’s found in nature and is directly sourced from the cannabis plant. With over 113 known ones, both THC and CBD are the two most popular ones to help with combatting a ton of different symptoms.

Then there are endocannabinoids, which are something naturally occurring within your body, but it wasn’t until 1988 that you’d get the researchers discovering the way the neurotransmitters affected this. The presence of these different types of neurotransmitters and the result of this are known as endocannabinoids.

Finally, you’ve got the synthetic ones, and they’re something made in a lab, mimicking the effects of this. They do target and then work with the different cannabinoid receptors. In our current generation, with synthetic cannabinoids, there is a lot of potential here, and more chances of getting something more potent  than ever before but the problem is, with that potency, comes a lot of negative results from this, so you should be mindful before you pick up any of those.

It's very important to make sure that cannabinoids that are in plants aren’t just in the cannabis plant, but there are others too, and you can get other cannabinoids that do affect the body. while THC is the most potent of them all, there are others too!
